Your privacy,
clearly explained.
Data controller and contact
Federico de los Santos, based in Uruguay, is the controller of personal data on this website, federicod.com. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email fede@dtc.uy.
What data is used and why
If you use the form, your name, email address, subject, message and acceptance of this policy are collected to receive and answer your enquiry. The form does not add you to mailing lists. Your data is neither sold nor used for advertising.
Processing your enquiry is based on the consent you give by checking the box. You may withdraw it by emailing the address provided; this does not affect processing already carried out.
The hosting service processes technical access data, such as IP address, requested path, date and browser agent, to serve pages, detect errors and protect the site. Form protection uses an identifier derived from the IP address, rather than message text, to limit abusive submissions.
Website language
Your browser language is used locally to select the initial version. If you change languages, a first-party cookie remembers your choice for one year. This preference is not sent to Google or used for tracking.
Visit analytics
The site includes an optional Google Analytics 4 integration. It only activates when a measurement ID is configured and you accept analytics cookies. Before that acceptance, the Google tag is not loaded and no measurement events are sent.
When enabled, Google may receive browsing and device data, pages visited and cookie identifiers. The form does not send your name, email, subject or message to Analytics. The integration disables Google signals and advertising personalization and uses page URLs without query parameters.
You can reject analytics or withdraw your choice through “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of any page. You can also read the cookie policy and the Google privacy policy.
Providers and disclosures
The form delivers your enquiry to the controller’s email through the hosting mail service. Hosting and email providers are involved in delivering these services. If you accept analytics, Google acts as the measurement provider. These operations may involve processing data outside Uruguay, depending on the providers’ locations and terms.
The linked projects, app stores, GitHub and LinkedIn are external services. Their own policies apply when you visit them. This site does not load players, posts or widgets from those platforms.
Data retention
Enquiries are kept in email for as long as needed to respond and follow up on the conversation. They are reviewed for deletion when no longer needed, unless a professional relationship or an obligation justifies keeping them. Access logs follow the hosting provider’s rotation and security settings.
Abuse prevention keeps counters for one hour and removes expired records. The analytics preference expires after 180 days, when you are asked to choose again.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, updating, inclusion or deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent, by emailing fede@dtc.uy. To protect your information, a proportionate identity check may be requested.
In Uruguay, Law No. 18,331 governs the protection of personal data. You can find information or lodge a complaint with the Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales.
Updates
This policy is updated when features or data processing change. The date at the top identifies the published version.
